Pbi Varsity declared champions at inter-zone youth fest

Punjabi University campus bagged the overall trophy of the three-day inter-zone youth festival which concluded at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hall here on Friday.

The Khalsa College Patiala was declared the first runner-up, while Shaheed Udham Singh College, Sunam, was declared the second runner-up.

On the concluding day, bhangra competitions drew a heavy crowd.

Guru Gobind Singh College, Sanghera, was declared winners of the completion, and university campus bagged the second spot. The third prize was shared by Bela College and Akal Degree College, Mastuana Sahib.

Gagandeep Singh of Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, was adjudged best dancer in the bhangra competition.

Over 1,000 students from 70 affiliated colleges in six different zones including Patiala, Ropar, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur and Mansa participated in the festival.
