Pending salary

The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers Welfare Association (SSATWA) members on Wednesday thanked UT adviser Vijay Dev for acting on their demand to release the three month pending salary of junior basic teachers the two-month salary of trained graduate school teachers.

The release of the salaries for the SSA teachers had been delayed by the ministry of human resource and development (MHRD) since its October 28, which ordered providing 100% share of the SSA funds by the central government. “On December 9, we met the UT adviser and requested him to interact with the MHRD, which issued instructions to the finance secretary and DPI (schools) for speedy transfer of the salary… the money has been transferred to the teachers’ accounts,” SSATWA president Arvind Rana said.
