It turned out to a bad day for Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) management as pensioners under the banner of PRTC Pensioners Association also staged a protest in front of the PRTC head office on Wednesday, adding to the woes of the management facing a three-day strike by contractual workers.

Association president Bhagwant Singh Kanganwala said that the management has failed to take a serious note of their demand for clearance of their dues for the past several months.

He said the management has failed to give pending 38 installments of dearness allowance (DA) as recommended by the pay commission report. The payment of their medical bills has also been pending for a long time.

"We have given 15 days' ultimatum to the management to clear our dues, failing which we would launch an intensive protest against PRTC", he said.
