Punjabi singer-turned-actor Diljeet Dosanjh, who was in the city on Monday to promote his upcoming Punjabi film Disco Singh, admitted that he never cast his vote.
About motivating the city youth to cast vote during his promotions, the 30-year-old artiste said, "I just try to remain away from politics as I have no knowledge about the field."
When asked if he would do cast his vote, he said, "Though I had never cast my vote, but this time I am planning to do so as many people and mediapersons have asked me the same thing during the film promotion," he said.
Disco Singh, a romantic comedy, is set to release on April 11. Diljit pairs with actress Surveen Chawla in the film.
The movie is directed by Anurag Singh, the director of laughter riot Jatt and Juliet 1 and its sequel.
"My role is of a bubbly music band owner who falls in love with beautiful Surveen. Though "hired" just to pose as Surveen's boyfriend, I end up stealing her heart," he adds.
The star cast of the film includes Manoj Pahwa, Upasna Singh, Apoorva Arora, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol and Chandan Prabhakar.
