The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, on Friday junked the private experts’ report submitted by petitioners, who have challenged the May 17 Pre-Medical Entrance Test.
The university told the court that its experts met on July 14 and July 15 to discuss nearly 40 objections raised by some private experts on questions that appeared in the test. No discrepancies were found by varsity experts, it said.
During arguments, the petitioners’ counsel alleged violations of the terms and conditions in the prospectus. The arguments would continue on Monday. For more than 1,000 medical seats in the state, nearly 15,000 students had appeared in the test that was conducted at Lovely Professional University in Phagwara. Several students have challenged the examination. In the wake of the ongoing litigation, the counselling has been put off by the varsity.
