A Poland national has gone missing while on a trek in Parvati valley of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.

Though Bruno Muschalik, 24, has been missing since August 9, the matter came to light only on August 18 after the Poland Embassy informed the police about the youth missing in the district.

"A police team is taking help of local porters and other people to locate the trekker," Kullu deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Sanjay Sharma said.

According to police, Bruno arrived in Kullu district from Jammu and Kashmir on August 7 and stayed at a guest house in Manali. Thereafter, he moved to Kasol and was spotted near Barshaini in Parvati valley. But has been missing thence.

He even updated details of his trip on Facebook and mentioned his trip to Manali and Manikaran, but has not posted any updates after August 9.
