Ludhiana police have completed investigation into the murders of Moga DSP Balraj Singh Gill and a woman Monika Kapila after around four-and-a-half months and submitted a challan in a local court of Amrinder Pal Singh on Friday.

Haibowal police has submitted the challan report in the court, which fixed July 3 as the next date of hearing in the case.

Police officials sounded confident about the findings in the case and sought maximum punishment to those accused of brutal killings. Inspector Satinder Pal Singh, SHO Haibowal, said that some forensic reports were awaited, which police would submit in court later.

The 375-pages challan gives every detail of the scene of crime and missing belonging of the victims, and includes interrogation report and statements of culprits, in which they had allegedly admitted to their crime.

Proof submitted in court included photographs of a trip the accused made to Shimla and Naina Devi shrine, taken on mobile phone belonging to deceased DSP Gill that the accused took away after the killings.

The accused include Harvinder Singh Binder, Pritpal Singh alias Laddu, Umesh Karda alias Sonu, all residents of Talwara. The alleged involvement of Ravinder Singh alias Rinku, Hasanjit Singh and Davinder Pal alias Laddi in disposing of the booty has also found mention in the challan.
