The Patiala police have released the sketches and video footage of the three accused, who had looted Rs 37 lakh from a cash van after killing a security guard and injuring a cashier outside an ATM of the State Bank of Patiala at Nabha on Saturday.
The police have also announced a Rs 50,000 reward for providing information related to the accused.
"The sketches and video footage of the accused have been circulated all over the state and police are conducting raids to nab them", said SSP Hardial Singh Mann, who claimed that the police have got vital clues related to the accused.
The police also rounded up nearly two dozen criminals, who recently came out from different jails of the state and had been earlier booked in similar cases.
He said that as the CCTV footage is not providing a clear view, the police have made the sketches of the accused with the help of the injured cashier Anuragh Tiwari and other eyewitness from Nabha town. A case under sections 302, 307 of the IPC and the Arms Act has been registered against the accused.
"I am confident that the case would be cracked very soon, as we are making efforts in this regard on a war footing", he added.
Interestingly, as the accused were speeding away on their motorcycle, Rs 1.35 lakh dropped from the cash bag, which the police have recovered.
The gang members had escaped while firing in the air. Though the police responded quickly and sealed all exit points in the town, the turbaned and masked trio managed to give them a slip, showing signs of a well-planned heist.
