Deputy chief minister and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has said that his party was considering parliamentary elections as an opportunity to get feedback on the development works initiated by the SAD-BJP government in the district.
Addressing a party meeting in support of SAD candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal in the villages under the constituency on Saturday, he said that SAD was not considering the Congress candidate as a challenge, but taking these elections as a chance to get feedback and suggestions from the people of the constituency regarding the development works carried out by the state government and local MP.
Terming the rallies addressed by BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as successful, he said that the formulas given by Modi for agro-industrial growth reflected his vision for the overall development of Punjab and the country.
In an election meeting in Ganga Ablu village after inducting panchayat member Beant Singh Brar and Congress leader Sukhdev Singh Brar into the SAD, he said that all five rallies of Modi witnessed people from both urban and rural areas.
He said that the speeches delivered by Modi during these rallies reflected his commitment and vision for the developing India.
He said that the formulas manifested by Modi for the development of cotton, tourism and other sectors showed his intellectual strength and political will for the overall development of all the sections of the society.
