A pregnant woman died at a private hospital at Gill road on Friday evening. She had been brought to the hospital for delivery.

Kin of the deceased staged a protest and blocked the road for half an hour. Later, the Shimlapuri police booked the doctor on charge of causing death by negligence.

The deceased has been identified as Mini Chopra, 26, of Dashmesh Nagar. The husband of the deceased alleged that the doctor administrated a wrong injection to his wife as a result she developed complications. Later, the doctors asked him to take her to Guru Teg Bahadur Charitable hospital where she was declared brought dead.
