Prof Hundal takes over as dean, academic affairs

Guru Nanak Dev University vice-chancellor Prof AS Brar appointed Prof MS Hundal, a professor of the department of chemistry and dean, college development council, as the dean, academic affairs of the university. Hundal will also hold the charge of coordinator, EDUSAT till March 31, 2014.

The terms of dean, students' welfare Prof PK Sehajpal, Prof RK Mahajan, professor incharge (examinations), Prof Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, professor incharge (finance development), Prof Amarjit Singh Sidhu, professor incharge (publication bureau), Prof BS Bajwa, director (hospitality), and Dr Mohan Kumar, reader, Academic Staff College, have been extended up to March 31, 2014.

Similarly, Dr Rajinderjit Kaur Pawar will be the new dean, College Development Council till further orders. She will also hold the charge of incharge, constituent colleges and regional campuses in Sathiala and Fatthu Dhinga and director, department of lifelong learning (additional charge), till further orders.

Similarly, the term of Dr Sandeep Sood has been extended as associate dean, academic affairs at the University Regional Campus, Gurdaspur. Prof MS Sangha has been appointed as associate dean, academic affairs, at the University Regional Campus, Jalandhar till March 31, 2014.

Dr Kuldeep Singh has been appointed as dean (alumni association), Prof AJS Bhawar as professor incharge (public relations), Prof TS Banipal as director, research, Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu as director, Academic Staff College, Prof Jagroop Singh Sekhon as director (capacity enhancement programme), Prof Paramjit Singh as coordinator (Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy) and Prof Daljit Arora as director (AIS Centre) up to March 31, 2014.

Prof Vikram Chadha (coordinator, university industry linkage programme), Prof BS Chadha (nodal officer, intellectual property rights cell), Prof Shashi Bala (director, Guru Nanak Studies Centre), Prof Karanjit Singh (professor incharge, central time-table grading system) and Prof Jatinder Singh, professor incharge, Heritage Museum) will also continue their terms till March 31, 2014.

Prof Palwinder Singh of the department of chemistry has been appointed as coordinator, HPLC, Mass Spectrometer (Central Facility) and Dr Sandeep Sharma as chief information security officer, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in) from April 1, 2013 to March31, 2014.
