Prostitution racket busted, six girls among 13 held

The Ludhiana police have busted a prostitution racket with the arrest of 13 persons, including six women.

The kingpin of the racket Jassi Aunti and her accomplice Madhu, however, managed to escape and police parties were looking for them.

Inspector jaswinder Singh of Shimlapuri police station raided a house in street number 3 of Bazigar Basti after receiving a secret information about prostitution going on there.

During the raid, the police arrested six girls, who are from Nepal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Apart from the girls, the police also arrested seven men from the house. All of them have been booked under the immoral trafficking Act.


Those arrested include Jimmy Bansal of Barnala, Udham Singh of Moga, Amarpal Singh of Moga, Parveen Kumar of Barnala, Gopal Krishan of Barnala and Jagjeet Singh of Ludhiana.
