Demanding strict action against yoga guru Ramdev for his "honeymoon and picnic" remark against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, a social outfit on Friday took out a procession and burnt his effigy.

The National Dalit Front and Human Rights along with Anti-corruption Front took out a protest march and burnt Ramdev's effigy near octroi number 4 of Sirhind town .

Laxman Singh, who was spearheading the protest, said that the government should arrest Ramdev as he had hurt sentiments of crores of Dalit in the country.

Singh also said that the yoga guru had given a different colour to Rahul Gandhi's campaigning as he had been approaching Dalits to seek their votes. He also threatened that if the government did not take any action against him, they would intensify their protest against the government.
