Protesting government drivers deflated tyres of the official vehicle of additional deputy commissioner (development) Sheena Aggarwal as her security man drove her vehicle to the multipurpose stadium amid drivers’ strike.

After the drivers, who were staging a protest in the children’s park here, got information that the security guard of the ADC had taken the vehicle to the stadium despite their strike, the protesters reached the stadium and deflated the tyres.

District general secretary of the Punjab Government Drivers and Technical Employees Union justified the action saying that they had called for a complete strike and no vehicle was to be allowed to be driven.

The drivers started a two-day strike in support of their demands on Thursday.
