PSEB Class 10 results: Amritsar bags 16 merit positions

Sixteen students from Amritsar made it to the merit list in the Class-10 exam results declared by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Tuesday. Scoring 98.9%, Simranpreet Kaur of Prabhakar Senior Secondary School, Bhalla Colony, Chheharta, has topped the district while securing second rank on the state merit list.

The Chheharta school has also produced the second position holder from the district: Rishamjit Kaur. With 98.6%, she is fifth in the state.

In sports category, Avinashdeep Kaur of Ajit Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School (AVSSS) has bagged the fifth state rank with 99.2%.

“Out of the 16 merit holders, six are from AVSSS,” said deputy district education officer (DEO) Satish Kumar.

The third position in the district has been secured by Anmol Singh of Khalsa College Senior Secondary School, who has scored 97.2%.

The fourth position has been shared by Dilpreet Kaur of Bhagat Puran Singh of Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Manawala, and Avneet Kaur of AVSSS. Both have scored 97%. Also from AVSSS, Muskanpreet Kaur and Lovepreet Kaur have scored 96.7% and 96.4% respectively. Sahil Kumar of Amardeep Public High School, Gurbaxh Nagar; Jasmeet Kaur of Sarv Shakti Public School, Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar; and Manpreet Kaur of Ambar Public High, Nawan Talel, Baba Bakala, have also scored 96.4%.

Snehdeep Kaur (AVSSS) and Ramanpreet Kaur of Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School (GNPSSS), Chananke, have made it to the merit list with 96.3%. Sharanjit Kaur of Ashoka Senior Secondary School, Ajit Nagar, and Satinder Kaur of GNPSSS have scored 96.1%.

92% pass in Gurdaspur district

Gurdaspur: Manpreet Kaur of Guru Har Rai Academy, Panj Grayian, and Kulwinder Kaur of Gyan Anjan Public High School, Jafarpur, have scored 96.9% to jointly share the first position in Gurdaspur district in the PSEB Class-10 results declared on Tuesday. District education officer (secondary) Amardeep Singh Saini said 20 students have made it to the merit list from the district. Shivani of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Batala, has come second in the district with 96.6%. Saini said with 92% pass percentage, Gurdaspur stood second in the state.

Khadoor Sahib school shines in Tarn Taran

Amritsar: All 12 children on the merit list of the PSEB Class-10 results from Tarn Taran district are girl students of Baba Gurmukh Singh Uttam Singh (BGSUS) Senior Secondary School, Khadur Sahib.

Simrandeep Kaur has topped the state and district with 99%.

Anupreet Kaur (98.6%) and Sandeep Kaur (98.4%) are second and third respectively. Robanpreet Kaur has secured the fourth position with 98.3% and the fifth position has been bagged by Ramandeep Kaur (98.1%).

Sumandeep Kaur (97.8%), Harmeet Kaur (97.7%), Navroop Kaur (97.7%), Amandeep Kaur (97.4%), Arjupreet Kaur (97.1%), Pradeep Kaur (96.3%) and Muskanpreet Kaur (96.3%) are the other merit holders. School director GS Gill congratulated the students. HTC
