Among the girls students of Patiala, Ekta Rani’s struggle to cover 4km distance as a pedestrian and using public transport to reach school has turned into a success story. She achieved third rank at state level in commerce stream by securing 96.89 % marks in the results of PSEB.
Ekta wants to be a chartered accountant. She gave credit to teachers, parents and her elder sister for her success. She said, “I want to be on top in the results and believe in working hard.” Talking about the commerce groups, she said that her elder sister, who is also doing MSC and is an aspirant of Indian administrative services, guided her to adopt this stream. She said that she will prepare for CA and also take admission in BCom.
Gian Chand, Ekta’s father along with other family members also celebrated his moments and gave a thanks to the school staff members.
Kulbir Singh Ugani, principal at Government Co-ed Senior Secondary School (NTC) Rajpura congratulated Ekta, her parents and teachers.
He said that Ekta’s efforts were appreciable as she hails from a rural area and worked hard towards education.
