The Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) Engineers' Association, Ludhiana, held a meeting at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) complex on Monday. Chief engineer, central division of Ludhiana, Rachpal Singh presided over the meeting, which was attended by 85 engineers.
The association congratulated the management, engineers and employees of the PSPCL for winning the best utility award. “It is the hard work of PSPCL officers which has earned this award,” said the members. The members of the association condemned the attitude of the central body of PSEB engineers' association for not highlighting the news of the awards published in various newspapers, however it was “routine matter for them to highlight various news which are against the interests of PSPCL engineers,” said GPMS Sidhu, additional section engineer, PSPCL.
The members passed no confidence motion against the executive members of the association from Ludhiana zone for not highlighting their demands or grievances. The members demanded to revoke the suspension of various engineers from the association.
In the meeting, the engineers said that they had full faith in former regional secretary of Ludhiana region GPMS Sidhu, “who was suspended from the membership by the central body for appreciating the efforts of CMD KD Chaudhari.”
