PSPCL employee wins two medals at Para Asian Games

Raj Kumar, an employee of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) and a badminton player, has won two silver medals in Para Asian Games held from October 18 to 24 at Incheon in South Korea. Karan Deep Chaudhri, chairman-cum-managing director, PSPCL, lauded Raj Kumar's achievement.

Raj Kumar, an employee of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) and a badminton player, has won two silver medals in Para Asian Games held from October 18 to 24 at Incheon in South Korea. Karan Deep Chaudhri, chairman-cum-managing director, PSPCL, lauded Raj Kumar's achievement.


Raj Kumar has won medals in men's doubles and mixed doubles events along with Rakesh Pandey of Haryana and Parul of Gujarat.

Raj Kumar won the world championship in 2009. He also represented India in Para Asian Games in 2010. In 2013, in the world championship held in Germany, he won a bronze medal in the singles event. While honouring Raj Kumar, who has returned on Sunday, Chaudhri summed up by motivating and encouraging the players by few words.
