The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday issued a notice to the Punjab government on a bunch of petitions claiming that there were anomalies in answer key of Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET), 2015.
A high court bench of justice GS Sandhawalia has directed the Punjab government to submit its response by Friday, with Saturday (January 9) being the last date for submission of applications for various posts of masters and lecturers cadre. The test was held on December 13.
The order came on petitions filed by Daljit Kaur of Sangrur and Ajay Singh of Patiala, among others, in which the correctness of answer key for PSTET, 2015, was challenged. The court was informed that the options given against at least three questions in Set Number 4 were wrong and thus, candidates were entitled to three additional marks. They had contended that various options ticked by them were correct. They had sought directions to the Punjab School Education Board to revise the result of PSTET by giving additional marks to deserving candidates.
