Nearly 40,000 children below five years in the district would be immunised against polio during the second leg of the Pulse Polio campaign on February 23.
The programme was finalised at a meeting held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Ashish Singhmar, and attended by the chief medical officer.
An official spokesman said 282 booths would be set up in various parts of the district for the smooth conduct of the progrmame, which would be held under the direct control of the health and family welfare department.
The department will deploy 1,130 vaccinators and 56 supervisors, and eight transit and 20 mobile teams had been set up for the programme.
The spokesman said the main thrust of the programme would be on the children of migrants and those living in the remote areas of the district.
The DC appealed to people, especially members of panchayati raj institutions, NGOs and other voluntary organisations to participate in the programme.
