Punjab Basketball Association honours Satnam Singh Bhamara

Punjab Basketball Association honored Satnam Singh Bhamara, who became the first Indian-born player to be drafted into America's professional basketball league NBA, at the Guru Nanak Stadium on Tuesday.

RS Gill, former director general of police, and also the president of the association was the chief guest on the occasion. Hundreds of players and visitors welcomed Satnam when he entered the stadium.

While taking to HT, Singh told that his visit to the stadium was special as his coach Subramanian's family came at the stadium for celebrating his success.

"I am thankful to PBA who welcomed me with huge number players and my fans," added Satnam.
Secretary Teja Singh Dhaliwal said Satnam has proved his hard work and sincerity towards the game. Moreover, many more players would be inspired from Satnam.

Vijay Chopra, treasurer, PBA, has gifted television and AC to Satnam Singh for achieving this success.
