The fifth edition of Blenders Pride Punjab International Fashion Week that opened on Friday evening concluded on late Sunday evening. It remained a cynosure for the denizens, as it brought various fashion designers of the country on common platform to unfold their creative work.

The programme got a highly enthusiastic touch when local designer Sonu Gandhi's round 'Paramparagat' opened. Her showstopper was Miss India Universe 2008 Simran Kaur Mundi.

Gandhi said, "Paramparagat in fashion parlance means the tradition of embroidery that has made the Indian garments look rich, colourful and royal."

In the last round, New York-based designer Sanjana Jon, who is basically from India, showcased her designs. Her work played around traditional Indian attire, but with western influences. Actror Zarine Khan and wrestler-turned-model Sangram Singh were the showstoppers for her collection.
