Punjab government rejigs 14 IAS, 4 IPS officers

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Thursday approved transfer of 14 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect. Principal secretary, finance, DP Reddy has been given additional charge of financial commissioner, taxation, while G Vijralingam, principal secretary, science, technology and environment has been posted as principal secretary, school education.

Roshan Sunkaria, financial commissioner, rural development and panchayats has been posted as principal secretary, labour, relieving Vishwajeet Khanna of this additional charge. Sunkaria has also been given additional charge of principal secretary, printing & stationery.

Anurag Aggarwal, financial commissioner, taxation has been posted as principal secretary, social security and development of women and children while Jaspal Singh, secretary, finance (expenditure), planning and social security and development of women and children gets the additional charge of secretary, science technology and environment. Anurag Verma, commissioner, excise and taxation is now secretary, higher education while Ajoy Sharma, special principal secretary to the chief minister has been posted as secretary, water supply & sanitation.

The government also issued transfer orders of four Indian Police Service and 11 Punjab Police Service officers. Of the IPS officers, Amneet Kondal has been posted as additional deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Jalandhar, Dhruv Dahiya as ADCP (headquarters and security), Ludhiana, Gulneet Singh Khurana as SP (headquarters) Pathankot and Sandeep Kumar Garg as SP (headquarters) Ropar.
