Punjab police reshuffle: Nageshwar Rao is new vigilance director

The Punjab government on Monday issued orders for new postings of 18 IPS and 11 PPS officers.

The Punjab government on Monday issued orders for new postings of 18 IPS and 11 PPS officers.

Director general of police (DGP), internal vigilance and human rights, Hardeep Dhillon has been given additional charge of welfare. Commissioner of police Amritsar, Nageshwar Rao, has been posted as the new vigilance director. IGP-cum-vigilance director V Neerja has been posted as IGP, Personnel.

Ludhiana police commissioner Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh has been posted as IGP (ATS-2) and Jatinder Singh Aulakh from IGP (law and order) to IGP (headquarters). Gautam Cheema has been posted from IGP (operations) to IGP (law and order) relieving Paramraj Singh Umranangal of the additional charge.

Naunhihal Singh has been posted as IGP (welfare), Punhab, Chandigarh in addition to his charge as IGP border range (Amritsar).
