Punjab medical entrance test advanced by a day, now on June 11

A circular uploaded at university’s website says since the expected number of applicants appearing in the test is up to 16,000, many centres have been set up in Punjab.

“Because of this high number, the university has no option but to set up some centres in adjoining states such as Haryana and Jammu. However, efforts are being made to allocate a centre which is near to candidate’s home district,” said the document.

As per the latest schedule, the candidates can seek correction in their online registration data by June 6. The result will be declared on June 15, two days after submission of submission of objections pertaining to the question paper and answer keys.

No decision yet on NRI admissions

The latest instruction did not mention anything about NRI quota admissions. Medical education secretary Hussan Lal said that fresh directions would be issued in day or so as legal opinion on the recent ordinance of the central government was awaited.
