The Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training (PSBTE and IT) has decided to provide admit cards to candidates appearing for Joint Entrance Test (JET) online.
This is the first time the board has decided to provide the admit cards online. However, last year, admit cards were send by post.
Talking to HT, district guidance counsellor Santokh Singh said, “For students' convenience, this is a good step taken up by the board.
Candidates who have applied for JET are intimated to print the admit card for appearing in the exam, which is schedule to be held on April 19.”
He added, “The students can log on to board websites, www.punjabteched.com, www.punjabteched.net <http://www.punjabteched.net/>. Admit cards of all candidates will be available from April 14 onwards. In case of any difficulty in printing the admit cards, the candidates can contact office of board in person with the photocopy of JET application form after April 15. All the candidates are also intimated that no admit cards will be sent by post.”
As many as 2,000 students would appear in the JET from the district and the board is yet to send the details of the examination centre.
An email will be sent to all school heads on Monday to help the students in downloading their admit cards from board's website. If they face any problem than they can contact the board office, Singh said.
Ankita, a student of government school, said, “I am appearing in the JET examination and this is a big relief that we will get admit cards online. Otherwise in 2013, when my sister appeared, she got her admit card a day before the exam.”
