Punjab: Visitor to Marathi literary festival dies of cardiac arrest

A Marathi visitor reportedly died of cardiac arrest at Ghuman village of Gurdaspur district at about 8.30 am on Friday. The victim identified as Arvind Kulkarni, 76, is a resident of Nagpur. He had come from Maharashtra to attend the three-day All India Marathi Literary Festival being organised from April 3 to 5 at Ghuman.

A Marathi visitor reportedly died of cardiac arrest at Ghuman village of Gurdaspur district at about 8.30 am on Friday. The victim identified as Arvind Kulkarni, 76, is a resident of Nagpur. He had come from Maharashtra to attend the three-day All India Marathi Literary Festival being organised from April 3 to 5 at Ghuman.

Another Marathi visitor identified as Gundopant, a resident of Kohlapur, also suffered a stroke and was admitted to the Ghuman Community Hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

The 88th All India Marathi Literary Festival is being organised at Ghuman where the 13th century Marathi saint and poet Bhagat Namdev spent last 20 years of his life.
