Comedian Ghuggi takes political flight, lands in AAP

Punjabi comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi will join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Chandigarh on Wednesday.

A day after the Congress roped in Punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday welcomed political comical satirist Gurpreet Ghuggi into the party fold.

Joining AAP in the presence of Sanjay Singh and other senior state party leaders, Ghuggi said, “I have always been a political satirist and now the time has come for me to contribute to Punjab in a practical way. I am immensely impressed by Arvind Kejriwal’s practical politics.”

“This is the party that performs well in Delhi in it’s one year of rule and that enabled me to make up my mind to join it,” he added.

Jalandhar based Ghuggi begin his career as a Punjabi actor in Jalandhar Doordarshan. He has also worked in many Bollywood flicks apart from working in Punjabi film industry.
