Punjabi singer Satwinder Bitti joins Congress

Punjabi singer Satwinder Bitti joined the Congress in the presence of state party president Capt Amarinder Singh in Chandigarh on Tuesday.

Bitti, 40, was welcomed into the party fold at a press conference at the Congress headquarters in Sector 15, Chandigarh.

Prominent among those present on the occasion were Congress leaders Sunil Jakhar, Brahm Mohindra and Kewal Dhillon.

Before becoming a Punjabi folk singer, who has also judged TV reality show Awaaz Punjab Di, Bitti was a national-level hockey player. She is an alumna of MCM DAV College, Chandigarh.
