PVR cinemas, which had on Thursday scheduled two shows of the movie ‘MSG 2: The Messenger’, starring Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim, cancelled its shows on Friday. This was the only cinema chain that had scheduled the show of the said movie and had been showing trailers of the movie from the past several weeks in all the PVR cinemas of the city.

Meanwhile, it seems that the movie has least fan following in the city. “It seems this baba had too much money and came up even with part two of the movie. The trailers itself are funny and clearly prove that he had spent too much money on this movie. He should have given this money for charity or at least to poor farmers, rather than wasting it on this flick that directly promotes him,” said a group of students.

“It seems creating your own religion is the best business these days. That is why it has been rightly said that it is the quickest way to make millions. I really do not understand what motivated this baba to come up with the movies,” said Harleen Kaur, a housewife.

On being asked as to why these shows were cancelled, communication manager of the PVR cinemas Deepa Menon said she can neither comment on the movie or disclose the reason behind the decision.
