Sukhwinder Kaur alias Radhe Maa, who is facing flak for her controversial lifestyle and her alleged involvement in a dowry harassment case, has many of her followers praying for her exoneration.
As millions of devotees throng the Chintpurni temple in Himachal Pradesh these days during the annual 'Shravan' fair, Radhe Maa's 'bhakts' have arranged 'langar' in her name on Hoshiarpur-Chintpurni road.
"It is our way of showing devotion towards the spiritual guru. She will come out clean of all allegations. God Himself protects His disciples", said Shere Punjab Singh, one of the faithful devotees of the self-styled god woman.
The banner hung in the backdrop of the langar carries picture of Radhe Maa juxtaposed to that of Chintpurni deity. The langar would continue till the end of the fair. "So far we have arranged free meals in Maa's name. We will also hold blood donation camps to express our devotion to her. We pray that good sense prevails on her detractors and they realise that Radhe Maa is doing God's service," said Shere Punjab.
