Lashing out at the Congress-led UPA government, chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday said the Congress has emerged as the most corrupt political party of the country. Badal said Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was not capable of becoming prime minister at the moment.
Addressing an election rally at new grain market, Badal said the writing was on the wall that Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi would become the next prime minister, as the countrymen were eagerly waiting to elect an able and efficient administrator like him. “In the current scenario, parliamentary polls are not only confined to the choice of the party, but these were also a referendum on leadership of parties,” he added.
Assailing the UPA government for its ‘anti-farmer’ stance, Badal said the ill-conceived policies of the Centre has virtually ruined the beleaguered peasantry of the state.
