To avoid long halt of passenger trains at Sirhind junction and Mandi Gobindgarh railway station, the northern railway division has decided to set up an intermediate block station (IBS) between the two.
"IBS would help trains cross the two stations without any interruptions," divisional railway manager SK Sinha said during a press conference here on Monday.
