Praising Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, for raising voice in Parliament against the firing on innocent Sikhs in a gurdwara at Wisconsin, the state unit of Shiv Sena has asked Kaur to also raise voice against Sikh Memorial.
Addressing a meeting of the workers here, vice president of state unit Jagdish Kataria said, "The terrorism in any form in any part of the world is condemnable but Shiromani Akali Dal party members are adopting dual policies on it. On one hand, they are demanding strict action against the criminals in US while on the other hand they are proposing to build a Memorial at Amritsar."
"Why don't MP sahiba voice out in the parliament against the proposal of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC), when this matter is directly concerned with country's sovereignty," he said.
"We demand an immediate action from Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, for putting a ban on construction of the proposed memorial. The Bhartiya Janta Party should also come in front before public and clear its stand on this issue," he further added.
