Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi women, child development and social welfare minister Rakhi Birla’s road show in Jalandhar proved to be a damp squib on Thursday as not many came out in party’s support.

The road show started from Lyallpur Khalsa College with no more than a hundred local AAP supporters besides Jalandhar parliamentary seat candidate Jyoti Mann.

Birla and Jyoti Mann moving around with folded hands failed to strike the chord among the local voters. They went to BMC Chowk, Nakodar Chowk, Guru Nanak Mission Chowk, Football Chowk and Workshop Chowk where the road got blocked due to the campaign, thus violating the model code of conduct.

An ambulance, which got stuck in cavalcade, had a tough time getting out at Nakodar Chowk. Later, Rakhi left for Amritsar to be part of another road show there. Later, Jyoti Mann went to Mai Hiran Gate, Phagwara Gate and Milap Chowk with her supporters.
