The two-day high powered Yoga Prashikshan Shivar concluded on Tuesday with yoga guru Ramdev stating that achhe din unke ayege jo yog karge ge.
Achhe din anne wale hain (Good days are coming) was the Hindi slogan of Narendra Modi for the 2014 Indian general election.
While performing a routine, Ramdev said that prime minister is working hard and good days will come soon. He said achhe din anne mein thora time lag sakta hai, par agar yog karo ge to har eek din aacha hoga.
On Tuesday, yoga guru started from where he had left off on the first day by inviting the Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on the stage. The 15-minute opening grueling session left the 61-year-old CM huffing and puffing, forcing him to take a five-minute break before joining back the training session. With a sheepish smile on his face, Khattar quipped: “aare sarir aapne jagah hai aur utsha apne”
During the session, Ramdev’s impromptu observations laced with pun on the health and fitness of the political leaders and journalists evoked loud cheers from the gathering.
Ramdev in full-swing, started with his quick witted comment on the body weight of Ambala Member of Parliament Rattan Lal Kataria. Ramdev mouthed, “Dekho Kataria ka pait kitna motta hai. Haridwar le ja ke iiska pait katna pade ga.”
On seeing an overweight cameraman of a regional TV channel jostling with his other counterparts for space, Ramdev stopped the routine he was demonstrating and said, “aare bhai dheko isko. Bhagwan ne iska sarir banaya 60kg ke leye aur balak ne overloading kar rakhe hai. Chassis to tadi hoge he.”
Agriculture minister OP Dhankar, who wears kurta pyjamas is daily routine, had come in Tshirt and shorts for the training. The minister was not left untouched as Ramdev could not hold himself back from commenting on Dhankar’s attire. “Dhankar ji kurta pyjame mein thore budhe lagte hai, paar nikar mein to eek dam chore lag rahe hai” The remark left all crackling.
High on energy, Ramdev was left impressed with proficiency with which food and supplies and tourism minister Karan Dev Kamboj was performing the routines. Kamboj was called on to the stage where he demonstrated few tough asanas and was felicitated by the yoga guru. “Yoga tourism theek haatho mein hai,” said Ramdev.
The two-day training session was organised for imparting training to selected persons, which include ministers, senior IAS and IPS officers, department heads from all over the state, besides members of the Bar association and mediapersons. Ramdev performed various asanas and also appraised the gathering about their benefits. Prominent among these asanas included kapalbhati, anulom vilom, sukhasan, bhramari, udgeeth, ardha chakrasana, vakra asan and savasana.
Before concluding the camp, Ramdev said that he was impressed with the commitment showed by the political leaders and top officials of the government. He said that efforts are being put in to make Haryana a mode state for yoga.
The leaders of opposition stayed away from the event.
