Raveena accompanies Jindal in road show for second day

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon on Tuesday for the second day accompanied Congress candidate from Kurukshetra Naveen Jindal and her wife Shallu Jindal in their road show campaign in Pehowa, Kaithal and Pundri on the last day of election campaigning.

The road show began in Pehowa in the morning, reached Kaithal in the afternoon and ended in Pundri in the evening before the EC deadline of 6 pm.

Raveena while appealing to the public for their support and for Naveen said that young and ideological politicians like him could take the country forward. She announced that he would bring development and prosperity to the area.

She reiterated that Naveen has been like a brother to her and she was moved by the development and social work done by him, which prompted her to come from Mumbai in order to campaign for him. She announced that people of Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency have already chosen Naveen to make a hat-trick. The road show witnessed large crowds at every location.

Addressing the public gathered in large numbers through the road show, Naveen claimed that unlike other candidates, who have been making false claims and all sort of election promises, he has been asking the people to vote for him on the basis of development. He said that Kurukshetra has witnessed unprecedented development in the last 10 years, which is more than the cumulative development in the previous years, and challenged the opposition parties to prove him wrong.

Naveen added that he has whole heartedly worked for the welfare of all sections of the society and wants to work for the people till his last breath. He mentioned that his late father, OP Jindal, has been his inspiration, who used to say that upliftment of poor and vulnerable is in real sense the road to prosperity and development of the society.

Naveen's wife Shallu said that it was he who got people of India the right to fly flag, and his was the first voice inside the Parliament to raise the need to formulate and implement the Food Security Act and also to include Haryanavi language in Class 8 schedule to the Constitution. She said his constituency and constituents have always been priority for Naveen.

She also thanked the people of Kurukshetra for supporting Naveen for the last ten years and said that she was confident that her husband would continue getting the support of the people.
