Ravinder Brahmpura files nomination papers for Khadoor Sahib bypolls

In presence of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura on Monday filed his nomination papers for Khadoor Sahib bypoll slated for February 13.

In the presence of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Ravinder Singh Brahmpura on Monday filed his nomination papers for Khadoor Sahib bypoll slated for February 13.

Several senior leaders of SAD including MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Ravinder’s father MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia also accompanied Ravinder while he submitted the papers to Khadoor Sahib SDM Ravinder Singh.

It is notable that the seat had fallen vacant after Congress leaderRamanjit Singh Sikki resigned from the post of MLA to protest against sacrilege incidents held in village Baath falling in the constituency.

Rest of candidates including Sikki, Bhai Baldeep Singh and Dr Sumail Singh Sidhu are likely to file their nomination papers on January 27, last day for nominations.
