In an effort to spread awareness on traffic and road safety issues, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Ludhiana chapter, in association with traffic police launched “reflector sticker promotion campaign 2014” on Thursday.

Nearly 1,000 specially-designed reflector stickers were installed on bicycles and old two-wheelers during the campaign.

Assistant commissioner of police (traffic) Richa Agnihotri was also present during the launch ceremony. She said, “Obeying traffic rules and self consciousness about the road safety is very important for everyone. This will not only save our life, but other lives too. Especially, during the upcoming winter foggy seasons more people lose their life because of road accidents.”

Agnihotri said many accidents have been reported in the past due to drunken driving and high speed. She appealed to the city residents to come forward and volunteer in controlling traffic.
