To avoid accidents during foggy season, Khanna police launched a drive as part of which they pasted reflectors on vehicles in the area on Wednesday.

Khanna senior superintendent of police (SSP) Gurpreet Singh Gill said it was important for all vehicles to be visible during fog, so as to prevent accidents.

Senior police officials met with the members of district sanjh committee and sub-division sanjh committee to discuss several issues of public importance.

Gill also distributed posters to committee members to further distribute them among people to make them aware of the facilities being provided at sanjh kendras.

“When public will become aware of the facilities being provided at these kendras, they will be at ease to communicate with police, felicitating the mutual relation and resulting to a better law and order situation,” said Gill.

SP Rajwinder Singh Sohal, who was also present at the meeting, said such meetings were important to ensure that issues of general public were addressed from time to time.
