Rescued from a brothel in Chhawni Mohalla on Monday, the 8-year-old girl has been sent to Nari Niketan, Jalandhar, following the orders of the court on Tuesday. The Salem Tabri police had produced the girl before the court on Tuesday.

The police have found that parents of the girl are residents of Shimlapuri. The police have investigated in the Shimlapuri area on Tuesday to trace her relatives, but to no avail.

The police have come to know that girl's father had never come back, after he had deserted his wife and daughter. Mother of the girl has also started living at some other place after marrying again.

The police have been emphasising to trace Ninder, who has handed over the girl to kingpin of the brothel Palo. The police officials have been expecting that Ninder could tell about parents of the girl.

SHO at Salem Tabri police station inspector Maninder Bedi said the police had been putting efforts to trace Ninder. The police had on Monday rescued an 8-year-old girl from a brothel following the information provided by kingpin of the brothel Palo on Monday. She has hid the girl in a store room when the police had raided the brothel on Sunday.
