Akhil Bhartiya Jat Aarkshan Sangharsh Samiti national president Yashpal Malik on Saturday expressed concern over the differences among leaders of the Jat community over the schedule of protest to press their demand for reservation under the other backward class (OBC) category.

Malik, who was here to address the members of the community, also slammed Haryana Jat leaders Hawa Singh Sangwan and Nafe Singh Nain for dividing the community by opposing the schedule of their agitation.

"Four months have been passed since the Supreme Court had abolished reservation for the Jats, but the Jat leaders are not opposing the decision even as thousands of youths of the community have been deprived of jobs and admission in the country's top institutes", he added.

Malik appealed to the Jat leaders to join hands to impress upon the government to accept their demand for reservation and asked them to participate in protests beginning on July 27.
