Members of Bhai Randhir Singh (BRS) Nagar Welfare Society wrote a letter to secretary of the local bodies department regarding poor condition of roads and other civic issues of the area.

They also gave a memorandum to municipal corporation joint commissioner PS Ghuman on Friday and demanded to take required steps to improve the condition of the area.

Society's chairman Kawaljit Singh Sidhu said, “The roads in the area are damaged badly, causing severe accidents.” He also complained about the faulty speed breakers.

President of the society Gurinderpal Singh Pappu, said, “A liquor vend has been running from green belt but the MC authorities had failed to take any action. We are demanding to take required steps to resolve the issues at the earliest.”

He demanded that the unnecessary and faulty speed breakers should be removed. The temporary encroachments that cause inconvenience to commuters should also be removed from the area, he added.
