The residents of labour colony in Dugri Phase 1 are infuriated over an alcoholic who uses unparliamentarily language for the area residents.

Balwant Singh Batra, a resident of the said locality, has been involved in such behaviour for the past several years. Residents had complained against him a year ago after which he was arrested by the police.

However, he was released next day when the family requested the neighbours for the same.

Now, the matter has worsened as the neighbours claim that the person has also started abusing females residing in the area.

Residents had also filed a complaint with the Dugri police station but no action has been taken so far.

A letter signed by 12 residents of the area states about the problem being faced by the residents due to the abuses by the accused.

Varinder Kumar, a resident, who has also signed the letter, claimed that the situation had gone out of control as the accused had started abusing the area residents on a daily basis.
