The huge discount offer boards staring at us out of glass panes in almost all showrooms are too alluring to give them a pass. So, the city residents are making the most of them and giving a new meaning to 'shop till you drop'.

All topmost brands and other retail houses in the city are offering huge discounts. The sale season is nothing less than paradise for shopaholics. One such shopping buff, Saaranya, says, "I went out for a movie but could not resist myself to shop as the discounts offers were really tempting." We don't blame her as 20-50% sale on apparels, shoes and other things are enough to captivate anyone's fancy.

"I love the sale season as we can have the desired brands for much less. This time, the January sale is proving like a mid-season sale because winters are here to stay till February," says Anjali. Brand head of Duke, Gagan Jain, shares, "By offering discounts, we just want to make the best of the festivity spirit among residents. People shop at New Year, Lohri etc and discounts make makes them extra happy." Every company provides discount after reducing their profit margin, he said, adding that the discount percentage will increase as we say goodbye to winters.

The manager of Indra Hosiery, Feroze, says, "We have wholesale work and we are done with our wholesale consignments by this time. Thus, we are free for offering discounts."

Online discounts also catching fancy

Residents are also making the most of online discounts. Many are choosing the virtual route as they get a huge variety of products online with heavy discounts.
