A Mansa-based retired teacher has accused the Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) of discrepancies in the recently held mathematics exam of class 12.

He has alleged that the translation of some of the questions in Punjabi was not correct, as a result of which students had to suffer.

He has written to the education minister and intends to file a PIL in the high court.

Raj Kumar Goyal is also a member of the Parents Forum for Meaningful Education (PFME), Delhi.

Besides grammatical errors, Goyal also found other discrepancies. Speaking to HT, Goyal said, "I am a subject specialist with the PFME and we would file a petition in the high court against the PSEB for the discrepancies. Many students approached me with their parents after I raised the issue. Scared of disciplinary action against them, neither the teachers nor the parents are willing to speak. The government should hire professionals who can do justice to the job."
