Traffic snarls give harrowing time to commuters

The concluding day of the Rose Festival saw several traffic snarls and vehicles remained stuck for long due to wrong parking of vehicles on the road. The traffic cops were seen struggling while managing the traffic. Throughout the day, traffic snarls dotted the roads near the Rose Garden, and the Leisure Valley, and the situation turned worse in the noon and in the evening during the cultural event. The areas from the Rose Garden to Sectors 10, 16 and 17 were the most affected.

Meanwhile, the road leading from the Matka Chowk to Sector 16 was barricaded by the traffic police to make the stretch safer for pedestrians, which added to confusion to several commuters. Maximum traffic was reported on the roads leading to Sectors 15, 16, and 17.
