Four days after the sensational murder of Namdhari sect matriarch Chand Kaur, Punjab director general of police (DGP) Suresh Arora on Thursday announced reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information on killers.
Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Dharuman Nimbale said the name and identity of the person, who will provide the information, will be kept secret.
Police have also released numbers (78370-18502, 98159-00016 and 98159-00001) on which any such information can be shared. Police have also prepared a computerised sketch of one of the suspects following details provided by eyewitnesses.
The CCTV footage collected by police from various cameras in the vicinity of the area where Chand Kaur was shot dead has proved to be of no help.
On February 18, police had announced Rs 5 lakh reward for information on assailants who shot at Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader Naresh Kumar and Shiv Sena youth wing leader Amit Arora. However, no one has so far come forward with information on the attacks
