Ravinder Brahmpura is SAD candidate for Khadoor Sahib bypolls

The Shiromani Akali Dal on Wednesday announced Ravinder Brahmpura as the party’s candidate for upcoming Khadoor Sahib bypolls slated to be held on February 13 .

Brahmpura is SAD leader from Tarn Taran, Amritsar.

Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal made this announcement after paying obeisance at Golden Temple in Amritsar.

He said, “We are all set to take part in this election. Development of the people as well the state has always been our agenda. The same goes for this bypoll or the Punjab assembly elections scheduled to take place in 2017. Whosoever comes as congress candidate, we are ready to face it.”

The deputy chief minister termed Congress as the main opponent in the state and ruled out any possible threat from the Aam Aadmi Party.
