SAD-BJP leaders put up a unity show in Patiala during party candidate Deepinder Singh Dhillon's road show in wards falling under jurisdiction of the Patiala II assembly segment, two days before the end of campaigning for the upcoming general elections.

Dhillon has been facing tough challenge from three- time incumbent MP Preneet Kaur and AAP's Dr Dharamvir Gandhi.

Accompanied by councillors of different wards in an open utility vehicle, Dhillon's procession started from the Bhadson road and passed through different colonies before culminating at Urban Estate.

Former mayor Vishnu Sharma, who recently shifted loyalties by joining SAD from the Congress, actively participated in the road show. Mayor Amarinder Bajaj and members of Tohra families remained present throughout the programmes.

"Give me a chance, I will serve you like a watchman," Dhillon urged people.

At some places the people were seen showering flowers at the SAD-BJP leaders.

"Preneet's performance had been very poor in terms of getting any mega project for this constituency despite of her own party-led government at the helm of affairs", he said.

"What did you get in return besides fake promises and assurances in past decade", he questioned people.
